Considering the relatively short amount of time we will be working together, I agree to send weekly updates to SOK9T about our training progress and to receive feedback to help ensure we/I stay on track to reach our training goals.

As a Balanced Trainer, a good portion of my teaching uses positive reinforcement methods that include markers, motivation, food, and praise. But I also use training tools to communicate what I want from the dog. Once a dog knows a behavior and has trained using multiple reps and a lot of positive reinforcement, and doesn't do what is asked, or to help stop unwanted behavior, there needs to be a consequence. (Think, children, not doing their homework, it's a good chance you'll take their phone away for the day!) So the consequence for the dog may be a solid verbal No, body pressure, or leash correction. The tools I use may include slip leashes, prong collars, or e-collars, as well as toys, play, people, and other dogs for distraction and socialization.

I understand that unconfirmed classes will be forfeited to be fair to my clients trying to schedule class time, if SOK9T provides and sends you specific dates for your class schedule and you do not try to contact SOK9T to confirm or cancel those dates within five days of receiving them, then SOK9T will cancel those unconfirmed dates, and the classes will be forfeited without a refund, exchange, or change of date. Also, no refunds are given for missed or canceled classes with less than 48 hours' notice.

The owner fully understands the tools and techniques used to train and modify their dog's behavior and after your permission agrees to use tools and techniques that may include a Slip Lead, Prong Collar, E-Collar, Muzzles, and Martingale collar.

SAFETY and RELEASE OF LIABILITY: I understand that there are inherent risks associated with training, socializing, walking and working with dogs in general. I assume any and all responsibility for myself and my dog(s) during training, walking, boarding, and/or any other work or activity directly or indirectly undertaken with or in association with Spot-On K9 Training (hereinafter (the services), and acknowledge due diligence and care have been exercised. I will hold harmless Spot-On K9 Training, Stephen Baum, his heirs and assigns, affiliates or property owners (collectively, Spot-On), in whole or in part, for any injuries, death, or misfortunes (to or by me or my dog(s)) in connection with the services should they occur. I further understand that due to the way that dogs interact with other dogs or humans, cuts or scratches can occur to you or your dog, even though the dog(s) are supervised carefully supervised. I also understand that my participation in any of these services is not without risks such as, but not limited to tripping, falling, getting knocked down and jumped on, bitten, scratched, etc., and that by enrolling my dog(s) into any of Spot-On programs, that Spot-On, has relied upon my representation that my dog(s) are in good health and have received the necessary vaccinations (or equivalent alternatives) as agreed upon by my veterinarian. If my dog becomes injured or ill, Spot-On shall have the right to call my veterinarian as designated on the Online Registration Agreement. In the event of an emergency and if my designated veterinarian is unavailable, Spot-On has the right to take my dog(s) to a nearby animal hospital for immediate care. I agree to reimburse, in full, Spot-On for any medical expenses accrued while under the supervision of Spot-On. Spot-On will not be held responsible for any decisions made by the veterinarian or other care givers on the dog’s behalf. —I hereby release and agree to save and hold harmless, Spot-On from any and all liability, claims, suits, actions, loss, injury or damage of any nature or kind, or for any liability, claims, suits, actions, loss, injury or damage which Spot-on or and dog(s) associated with Spot-on may sustain or which may be caused in any way therefrom. I specifically, without limitation, agree to indemnify Spot-On fully for any and all such liability, claims, suits, actions, losses, injury or damage. I understand that I am solely financially responsible for any damage or harm caused by my dog(s) during training, socializing, in-home dog check-ups or walking. I certify that I have read and understand the rules and regulations set forth herein and this agreement. I agree to abide by the rules and regulations and accept all the terms, conditions and statements of this agreement and confirm the truthfulness of the contents of this release form completed by me. Some programs are not appropriate for all dogs. Spot-On reserves the right to remove or refuse a dog from any of the Spot-On programs.

I understand that the free drop-in group classes are an added-value program subject to change or removal at any given time. Photos/Videos: By using the services you consent to the use of your dog’s name and any photo/video images or likeness of your dog(s) taken during any of our walking or training programs for possible use in marketing/training materials. I hereby authorize the reproduction, sale, copyright, broadcast of any and all such photograph(s), video recording(s), without limitation at the discretion of Spot-On and I waive any right to any compensation.
